The Accommodation Guide aims to be the definitive guide to Accommodation in the UK.

We list all of the major hotel chains, plus profile many thousands of smaller properties. We want to help you find a place to stay quickly and easily. If you prefer to browse we hope to help you in your own time search, profile and enquire in the easiest way possible.

Our aim was to bring together a very simple site with superb functionality for those not keen with the current trend of cluttered and over-powering booking engines. We hope we have succeeded!

Categories and County Classifications

BY LOCATION
The UK has seen some huge changes to how counties and authorities are described during the last 20 years. For this guide we have chosen to use a hybrid of both the old style and new style – this is primarily to help the user. While not 100% technically correct, we believe that by using less than 100 counties so sub divide the towns we are helping to speed up the search process.

BY TYPE
We have used a simple naming structure to to split how the type of accommodation is divided. These are based on search quantity and from research what we think are the most recognised names for different accommodation types. One example might be Bed & Breakfasts and Guesthouses. Bed & Breakfast is the most common name, Guesthouse is widely used, but not as well recognised, so we use for former.
