You can find the Brae Lodge in the lovely green belt area of Liberton just 10 minutes south, by local transport, to the centre of the busy and historic Royal City of Edinburgh. Travelling to the centre is very easy because we are situated on three bus routes and are approximately 2½ miles away from the city centre. If you are travelling to us by car or motorbike we have free off road private parking for our residents so you can take full advantage of ease of travel into Edinburgh. And we provide you with your own front door key, so there is no evening curfew and all day access.

Breakfast is freshly cooked for you and is a traditionally Scottish one, which includes Haggis!

We have six bedrooms, a family room, and a triple room, doubles and twin. These all have private en-suite facilities with showers. Towels and soap are provided for you. We also have a ground room suitable for guests with mobility problems. Rooms have adjustable central heating radiators and windows are fully double glazed. A complimentary tray is provided with tea/coffee making facilities and homemade shortbread. Each room is fitted with a TV and has a hairdryer. A Brae Lodge welcome pack in the room has local information on food and transport and history of the area.

As a VisitScotland three star guest house, we have a pay phone and tourist information leaflets, both of which are located in the hall for your convenience. An Iron and Ironing board is available on request. We can provide a WiFi access point for Internet connection, sorry, you will have to bring your own equipment

The accommodation has some beautiful views from the bedrooms towards landmarks such as Arthur’s Seat, The Edinburgh Royal Observatory. The Braid Hills and The Hermitage of Braid are just two minutes from the Brae Lodge Guest House with some beautiful scenery and some lovely walks. Near by attractions are Rosslyn Chapel, and Craigmillar Castle. Edinburgh is a University City and we are just 300 metres from the Edinburgh University campus of Kings Buildings and 2 minutes bus journey to the University central campus in Bristo Square.
