Escape to this beautiful Medieval Farmhouse, with many original features; oak panelling & beams, fireplaces with bread ovens, uneven floors & low doorways! Relax in quality en-suite bedrooms ( most with Wi-Fi) or explore the farm and meet the animals using its Devon Wildlife farm walk with abundant wildlife & panoramic views.

Situated half a mile from the nearest road in a secluded position, within its own 80 acres of rolling countryside & woodland, this is an ideal hideaway for exploring North Devon. Seven miles from the historic market towns of South Molton and Barnstaple, the Tarka Trail and Macmillan Way West passes the farm entrance, whilst Exmoor National Park is just up the road and North Devon’s beautiful coastline is half an hours drive away.

This lovely traditional working farm supports mostly woodland and Jacobsheep (lambing in spring) along with a few hens, whilst the sheep dog ‘Polly’ and springer spaniel ‘Tigger’ just waits for attention!

Awake to the sound of the dawn chorus and enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast of farm and local produce in the medieval dining room, including home-baked bread and home-made preserves. Plan your day, using Antony & Jackie’s knowledge of the area or the vast amount of information, books and maps available.
Visit the wonderful gardens of RHS Rosemoor and Marwood Hill, National Trust properties Arlington Court and Knightshayes, or family attractions such as Coombe Martin Dinosaur & Wildlife Park. Walk parts of the South West Coast Path, cycle parts of the Tarka Trail or go horse riding over Exmoor.

Make use of the many facilities at Huxtable Farm which include guests’ own drawing room, small library, sauna, multi-gym and games room with table-tennis and table football. Outside playing tennis on the all weather tennis court, croquet or stroll along the Devon Wildlife Trust Farm Trail, littered with wild flowers through the woodland, pasture and next to the steam and pond.

A Devon cream tea awaits your arrival!

‘If you are looking for solace and balm,
Excellent food and Devonshire charm,
Plenty to do, yet peaceful and calm,
Cease your search at Huxtable Farm’ visitors Chip & Susie
