Middlewich is a town in Cheshire, at the junction of the Trent and Mersey Canal and the Shropshire Union Canal, roughly 7 miles north of Crewe. Middlewich's name means "middlemost salt works" and predictably the town earned its living over the centuries from the production of salt. The large salt deposits that formed the industry are found within Cheshire plain, which separates the fantastically touristy hills of North Wales and the Peak District of Derbyshire.
Travelodge offers budget hotel accommodation in Middlewich providing great value and a comfortable nights stay.
