St Ives is a town and port on the North Sea coast of western Cornwall, in the District of Penwith, 8 miles west of Camborne. By the 19th century St Ives had established itself as a holiday destination, mainly attracting those wishing to paint - as a result many professional artists based themselves here. It is also within the vicinity of some excellent beaches and natural countryside native to the county.
