Grange-over-Sands is a seaside resort in Cumbria on the north side of Morecambe Bay and 11 miles southwest of Kendal. Grange-over-Sands was once a small fishing village until the arrival of the railway brought with it tourists, the village then transformed into a holiday resort. The town is home to Hampsfield Fell, by far the finest surveying point of all the foothills in the southern Lakeland fells.
