Glossop is a town in northern Derbyshire on the western edge of the Peak District National Park 13 miles east of Manchester. Form Glossop one can follow the Snake Pass up into the Pennines. Glossop expanded from being a small village in the 19th century largely due to the cotton industry, as a result, some stunning mill buildings still remain today.
