Andover lies on the River Anton and is a market town in the county of Hampshire. Famed for The Roman Portway and synonymous with the medieval wool trade, Andover was a stop off for stagecoaches en-route to Exeter during the 18th century. A lasting tribute to this trade still exists today in The Sheep Fair - the nomenclature for many of the street names in the area.
