Havant is a Hampshire town just to the north of Langstone Harbour and less than 10 miles northeast of Portsmouth. Interestingly, Havant was once a centre of a parchment making industry and the Treaty of Versailles was printed on sheets of Havant parchment. Havant is close to some of the countys extensive flat lands, populated with rich heathland and woodland habitats, a large area of which form part of the coniferous and deciduous woodland habitats of the New Forest National Park - an area of rich and diverse wildlife.
