Liphook is a Hampshire town, a little more than 3 miles outside of Haslemere. It boasted a number of coaching inns as it was a prominent stopping point on the old London-Portsmouth road, most notably, the 17th century Royal Anchor Hotel, where Queen Victoria stayed. The nearby Waggoners Wells, a series of ponds originally formed for the iron industry, are now a fantastic and well regarded beauty spot.
