Rochester is a town and port within the unitary authority of Medway, and at the mouth of the River Medway, in Kent. It is one of the three Medway towns, Chatham and Gillingham being the others. Rochester is synonymous with history, it is strategically positioned at the point where Watling Street crosses the Medway, there is also known to have been prominent Roman Saxon and Norman settlements centred around the old castle - little more than the keep remains. Such prestigious and vast heritage makes it a fantastic place to visit.
