Accommodation in Sandwich
Sandwich is a town and former port in Kent, on the River Stour, about 11 miles east of Canterbury. In the Anglo Saxon period and early middle ages it was an important port and subsequently was one of the five original Cinque Ports. Amongst the low sandy ground between the town and Sandwich bay is the Royal St Georges Golf Course - a celebrated host of the Open Championship.
