Accommodation in Morecambe

Morecambe is a seaside resort in Lancashire, 5 miles northwest of Lancaster and contiguous with Heysham to the south. Morecambe became popular towards the end of the 18th century, and grew even more with the arrival of the railway bringing thousands of holiday makers from the nearby mill towns. The area is famed for shrimps and also some fine areas for walkers in and around the immediate area, most notably, the treacherous walk across the bay at Grange-Over-Sands, which is only possible at low tide.
