Hunstanton is a seaside town on the North Norfolk coast, on the eastern side of the wash and about 14 miles north of Kings Lynn. It came to prominence as a tourist resort in the Victorian period, and is now an archetypal mid to down-town market British Seaside resort, well populated with arcades. Hunstanton is characterised by a long sandy beach chalk cliffs, at the top of which are the ruins of a chapel dedicated to St Edmund, who is said to have landed here in 850.
