Ludlow is a town in Shropshire, close to the Herefordshire border, and roughly 25 miles south of Shrewsbury. It stands on a steep hill by the confluence of the Rivers Corve and Teme. Its strategic position close to the Welsh border made it an important place during the Middle Ages. Ludlow has recently been noted as an important gastronomic centre, with several well regarded restaurants.
