Oswestry is a market town in Shropshire, close to the Welsh border and about 17 miles northwest of Shrewsbury. Nearby there is an Iron Age hill fort, known as Old Oswestry, commands the area. There are many other nearby sites of interest but most attention should perhaps be reserved for the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
