Accommodation in Chard

Chard lies in the most southerly tip of Somerset a little more than 7 miles west of Crewkerne and lays claim to being the highest town in the county. Its characteristic streets overlook the valley of the River Axe. Chard was originally prospered around the tanning industry, but it later turned to weaving and lace making. The town has some lovely architecture and surrounding countryside native to the county.
