Bury St Edmunds is a traditional, market town in the picturesque county of Suffolk. It lies on the River Lark about 25 miles northwest of Ipswich. The town has an abbey ruin and a cathedral but aside from its rich Norman history it must be, perhaps, most noted for its access to Suffolk's glut of low-lying, largely wetland habitat. Furthermore, The Broads and The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
