Littlehampton is a popular town and seaside resort o the West Sussex coast, at the mouth of the River Arun, roughly 6 miles west of Worthing. Historically, it was a small but important port, importing Caen stone from Normandy - primarily used for church and castle construction - but since the 19th century Littlehampton has developed as a popular, low profile version of Brighton.
