Description

Head out of Dumfries on the Solway Coast road (A710) towards New Abbey, passing through the village of Islesteps.

1.65 miles after the bridge following 30mph sign in Islesteps take the turning up to the right marked Mabie Forest and Mabie House Hotel.

Follow the road up until you get to the sign for Mabie House Hotel, bear left and follow the signs for “Marthrown of Mabie” between a white building and a wooden one, past the bike hire shop and through the gate onto the forest track ignoring the sign saying “No unauthorised vehicles” (Speed limit 15mph).

Proceed up the track for exactly a mile where you will find us on the left.
