Log cabins
Log cabins used to be the preserve of the Americans and Canadians but they have become increasingly popular in the UK in recent years. The UK holiday market has begun to expand again as more people are choosing to holiday at home rather than go abroad for their holidays. The UK offers a wide choice of destinations and accommodation types so it doesn’t have to be a caravan or a holiday flat. Although log cabins are a recent addition to the range of holiday accommodations in the UK, it hasn’t taken long for them to become a popular choice.
log cabin accommodation
There are now one or two chains of log cabin accommodation in many of the top UK holiday spots. These cabins have modern, comfortable interiors can now be found in log cabin parks across the country. Due to an increasing emphasis on healthy living people are now taking more active holidays and the log cabin seems to represent the well balanced, outdoor life. Many of the log cabin parks have a range of facilities, including swimming pools and tennis courts. At some parks guests can hire bicycles to ride through the park and the surrounding area and it is not unusual to see whole families cycling up the road together.
A good number of the log cabin parks are built on an American model, so besides the sports facilities that are available on site, guests can also get a manicure and a facial while they are there. Log cabin parks seem to attract a new type of British holiday maker attracted by the clean, modern accommodation and the on-site recreational activities.
