The CIWW officially opened to the public on Saturday 27th March 2010.

The Cardiff International White Water Centre (CIWW) officially opened to the public on Saturday 27th March 2010. Hoping to make a big splash by driving additional tourism and associated requirements for holiday accommodation in the area, the Olympic-standard pumped water canoe slalom course situated at the Cardiff International Sports Village, hopes to attract over fifty thousand visitors a year.
London 2012 Olympics
It is thought that these state of the art canoeing and white water rafting facilities will also be made available for training purposes for London’s 2012 Olympic hopefuls.
Before taking the plunge and booking accommodation in the area, visitors can even check out the awesome Canoe Slalom track via the centre’s live web cam. The Cardiff International White Water Centre offers a wide range of facilities to it’s users, including a paddle school for beginners, gorge scrambling, surfing, canoeing and kayaking, team challenges, bush crafting, rock climbing and even mountain biking.
For something different, team building sessions can also be held at the Cardiff International White Water Centre. In addition, the centre is even available for stag and hen nights for those looking for a departure from clubbing and drinking.
