Who ‘Leeds’ The Way for Sports Relief?

Get involved in Sports Relief with The Leeds Mile being just one event you can participate in and help raise money for charity.

Sports Relief is coming soon with celebrity ‘cyclists’ currently doing their bit for Sports Relief including, amongst others, Davina McCall, David Williams, Fearne Cotton and Patrick Kielty. Trying to raise one million pounds, these brave celebrities are taking part in a 24 hour cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

However, for the general public, Sports Relief activities will be running from Friday 19th March through to Sunday 21st March. Countrywide, people will be getting active in a bid to raise money for this very worthy charity. Leeds City is ‘Leeding’ the way with ‘The Leeds Mile’. You can sign up for the Sainsburys Sport Relief Mile in Leeds on the Sports Relief website. Entrance fees vary, but family discounts are available. You will also need to arrange your own accommodation and collect your own sponsorship money!
The Leeds Mile
There are three different courses that have been set out for runners of different abilities: one mile, three miles and six miles and the starting times are different for each. You may want to make accommodation plans well in advance given the popularity of the event, with plenty of good quality accommodation available in the Leeds area. Grab a hotel in Leeds.
