At the mouth of Brothock Water lies Arbroath, a fishing port and holiday resort famed for its once wealthy Arbroath Abbey, founded as a priory in honour of Thomas Becket but now a well-preserved ruin. Here lies the Stone of Scone - a symbolic reminder of the Declaration of Arbroath - and Scottish king: William the Lions grave. Also, close by is the Drosten Stone.
