Montrose is a Royal Burgh, resort and port in Angus, on the North Sea coast and 11 miles north of Arbroath. It is located at the mouth of the South Esk behind which is the large tidal lagoon of the Montrose Basin. The area is flourishing with wildlife and there is a popular wildlife centre at Rossie Braes, nestled amongst the fantastic vistas native to the area.
