Accommodation in Oban

Oban is port and tourist centre on the west coast of Argyll and Bute, about 60 miles northwest of Glasgow. It overlooks the sheltered Oban Bay, the island of Kerrera and the Firth of Lorne. Oban was founded as a fishing village in the latter part of the 18th century. There are many attractions to this charismatic town, primarily its port which ferries passengers to the islands of Mull, Colonsay, Lismore, Coll, Tiree, Barra and South Uist - hence, Oban is known as "the Gateway to the Hebrides".
