Accommodation in Dunbar

Dunbar (‘fort on the summit’) is a Royal Burgh, fishing port and seaside resort on the coast of East Lothian some 9 miles southeast of North Berwick. A 9th Century castles ruin graces the rock above the harbour, a fitting tribute to the extent at which its most famous inhabitant, Black Agnes, sustained a five month hold out against the English. Dunbar is surrounded by some lovely country side and visitors should be sure to sample the local delicacy of red herrings.
