Kingussie is a small town on the River Spey, in Highland and 3 miles northeast of Newtonmore; it is largely characterised by its historic heritage. Across the salmon rich Spey are the ruins of Ruthven Barracks, built on the site of Ruthven Castle, the seat of the Wolf of Badenoch. KIingussie is also where the Highland clans rallied after the disaster at Culloden Muir. As stunning a location as it is rich in heritage, Kingussie provides plenty for everyone, in and around the area.
