Description

East Farm Holiday Cottage, which sleeps 3, is a very comfortable annexe to the owners’ stone-built farmhouse, in a quiet position on the hillside, less than a mile from the charming village of Middleton-in-Teesdale and only 6 miles from High Force.  Set in the stunning Durham Dales, it offers superb panoramic views south and south west across the Tees Valley, along which both the Pennine Way and the Teesdale Way paths run.

Upper Teesdale has been part of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for over 25 years and an European Geopark for ten years. As such, it offers a wonderful base for those interested in wildlife, geology or wild flowers, as well as for walkers and cyclists and also boasts the darkest skies in mainland England adn benefits from a major annual stargazing festival in October.
For walkers the footpaths start at the cottage door and allow you to explore the nearby Hudeshope Woods, the Tees Valley, Monk’s  Moor or to travel further afield. The cottage is pet friendly and  up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided that they are kept under strict control.
