Newcastle Emlyn is a small market town on the River Teifi in Ceredigion, nearly 9 miles southeast of Cardigan. It was once the location of a 13th century Norman castle which is obviously notable by the town’s name, but little of the structure remains. Newcastle Emlyn is close to an abundance of natural countryside and also the popular Pembrokeshire coastline.
