Situated at the outlet of the River Dee from Bala Lake, and between the lakes Llyn Tegid and Llyn Celyn, Bala is a beautiful town in North Wales. Two former slate quarry locomotives provide visitors with a beautiful trip along the south shore of Bala Lake—the largest natural lake in Wales. Bala is also known for, Afon Tryweryn which is an internationally recognised location for white water kayaking. All in all Bala offers some great water themed landscapes and relative activities.
